There are mixed reviews when it comes to Cambly since there are times when there are a lot of students available and times where it is hard to find enough students.
This company is similar to Cambly where you are able to wait for calls from students that are online. You pick up these calls on at a moments notice and talk about the subject they have chosen. There is no need to prepare for the lesson and no report to write up after it as well. You do not need a degree but you should have a TEFL, CELTA, TESOL or another type of certification. You can teach from any location around the world and in terms of bandwidth requirements, they will test that during the interview. Their app runs in Chrome, Firefox and Opera. There is no minimum amount of hours required per month and they hire non-natives.

This is a newer company focused on teaching students in China typically 3am-6pm BST. The pay rate is 20-30£ depending on the level you teach. The UK has a status called Qualified Teacher Status(QTS) which is a bonus if you have. Having a TEFL certification should be good enough. They also ask that you have a clear enhanced DBS which is a background check performed in the UK. There is a bonus structure of 5£ for every extra student in the same class. They are hiring both native and non-native teachers.
This company hires native teachers and teachers from the Philippines. They pay rate varies depending on the teacher. It has been reported that it can be as low as $1.40 and up to $3 per 25-minute lesson and you might have to work exclusively with just them. You must have a wired internet connection, be in a quiet area, have a headset and clear camera, and have a Tax Identification Number(TIN). It is a bonus if you also have a certification such as a TEFL, TOEIC, or CELTA.

This company has a well put together website and has been around for seven-plus years. They will accept non-native teachers as long as you have a neutral accent and have prior teaching experience.
This Chinese company hires native and non-native English teachers as long as they meet their requirements. It is common for some of the other Chinese schools to only hire teachers from the UK, US and Australia, as an example. The pay is decent at $10-15 per hour. You will be teaching children using TRPS: Tri-Rounds-Role-Play-Scenario. The teacher and student will engage in role-playing through three rounds to help the student experience real-life scenarios. One negative piece of feedback is that the materials they use are not of high quality. That will end up costing you extra time as a teacher.

They guarantee 20 hours a month and more if you are good and available. They also require a one year contract. The working time spans 16 classes each day, which last from 8AM to 11PM (GMT+7) and are 45 minutes per class. The students are university students and working professionals who have a need to learn conversational English. TOPICA emails lesson plans to you so there is no need to create your own and there is little preparation.
